To Verify That the FID Flame Is Lit
To verify that the FID flame is lit, hold a mirror or other
reflective surface over the collector exhaust. Steady
condensation indicates that the flame is lit.
Typically the FID output will be between 5.0 and 20.0 pA
when lit and < 2.0 pA when not lit.
