Unlocking and Opening the Door Manually
Introduction Before cleaning or performing maintenance on your VSpin, you will
need to unlock and open the door.
Procedure To manually unlock and open the door manually:
1. Before you continue, disconnect the serial communications cable
and the power cable, and turn off and disconnect the air.
To disconnect the air hose, see “Disconnecting the Air Supply” on
page 67.
2. Put a small, thin tool such as a large unfolded paperclip, through the
hole at the upper left of the door to push against and fully retract the
lock pin. At the same time, push upward in the indentation in the
door with your other hand.
The position of the door lock is shown below. Note that the paperclip
is inserted at an angle so that it goes between the door column and
the cover.
