Configure Switch Features Chapter 7
2. From the DHCP Pool field, choose the name of the IP address pool to
use for ring devices.
This pool must be previously configured, as described on
page 243.
DHCP persistance and DHCP for ring devices can coexist, but cannot
share the same pool.
3. To assign an IP address to a single ring member, click Add a Single Ring
Member into Table, and then compete these fields:
• Ring Member—Type a value between 2 …255 to indicate the
location of the ring device. The switch is always ring member 1.
• Hostname—Type a host name to associate with the IP address for the
ring member.
• IP Address—Type the IP address for the ring member.
4. To assign IP addresses to multiple ring members, click Add Multiple
Ring Members into Table, and then complete these fields:
• Ring Member…To—Type values between 2 …255 to indicate the
starting and ending locations of the ring members.
• IP Address…To—Type the starting and ending IP addresses for the
ring members.
5. Click OK.
