Maintenance and Troubleshooting | 6-5
Frequency Task
Every 6 Months Measuring Cell, Cleaning
Clean the Measuring Cell and the analyzer’s sample system. This schedule is a minimum
requirement. If the internal parts are severely contaminated, more frequent cleaning may
be required.
While the Measuring Cell is apart, inspect the o-ring for damage such as nicks, cuts, or
scratches. Replace it if it cannot be re-used. (Typically, the recommended replacement of
this o-ring is annually unless it is damaged.)
See also “Cleaning the Measuring Cell and Replacing its O-Ring” in this chapter.
Every 6 Months Sample/Vent Lines
Inspect the Sample and Vent Lines for sags, sharp bends, or damage to the outer skin.
If necessary, take appropriate safety precautions and replace the lines. Perform a leak
check on all associated ttings after replacing any lines.
See also “Cleaning or Replacing the Sample and Vent Lines” in this chapter.
Annually Filterblock Assembly, Replacing Parts
Replace the Membrane Filters, o-rings, and Flow Restrictors (all replaceable parts are
included in the Filterblock Assembly Rebuild Kit). While this assembly is apart, clean all
interior parts.
See also “Cleaning and Replacing Parts in the Filterblock Assembly ” in this chapter.
Annually Measuring Cell, Replacing Parts
Replace the o-ring in the Measuring Cell. While this assembly is apart, clean all interior
parts.
See also “Cleaning the Measuring Cell and Replacing its O-Ring” in this chapter.
Other Flamepath Gap
During each analyzer maintenance, use a feeler gauge to check the amepath gap of the
Electronics Enclosure anges (enclosure door and housing joining surfaces). The gap
must not exceed 0.08 mm; if the gap exceeds this value, contact AMETEK for advice.
See “Examining and Caring For the Flamepaths” in this chapter.
For information on the required dimensions of other amepath joints, or if other
amepaths appear worn or damaged, contact your AMETEK Service Representa-
tive.
