Measuring Cell Maintenance
See Figure 6-1 while disassembling the Measuring Cell to clean it and/or
replace its o-ring.
Clean the Measuring Cell:
Every 6 months.
If one or more of the following Status Codes (SCodes) are displayed:
- w Dirty Cell (SCode 16)
- f H2O Optics (SCode 32)
- f HC Optics (SCode 64)
If there is evidence of baseline deviations.
If the HCDPA Off-Spec Alarm is present. The HCDPA Off-Spec Alarm
is triggered if the HCDP temperature is unacceptably high or low.
If, at the beginning of the Purging/Hold Stage, one or both of the pho-
totransistor signals is significantly higher or lower than normal when
compared to the analyzer at the same surrounding ambient tempera-
ture.
If there is evidence of contamination to the Membrane Filters in the
Filterblock Assembly (i.e., if liquids, oils, or waxes are found while the
Filterblock Assembly is being cleaned).
Replace the Measuring Cell o-ring:
• Annually.
If the o-ring is found to be damaged while cleaning the Measuring
Cell.
