Fuse Installation for

Figure 3.4 shows how a single AC input is routed to two power supplies through the P6 connector
and P6 fuse, and the AC thru fuse. The AC thru fuse connects the two sides of the AC distribution
bus. This configuration provides redundancy if one of the two power supplies fails.
Figure 3.5 shows how AC power can be routed to two power supplies from two independent
sources (through P3 and P6). This “split bus” configuration provides an additional level of
redundancy. That is, the NC4000 will remain powered up even if one power supply fails, or one
AC
input to the node fails.
Note
Never install the AC thru fuse when you have two AC inputs to the node.
