5.5.6 Remove the Headset
Disconnect the headset by removing the headset adapter instead of just the headset. This will avoid any
sound related issues that may otherwise arise when just removing the headset (and leaving the headset
adapter connected).
5.6 Voicemail
This is a system dependent feature.
If the system is connected to a voicemail service, handset users can record and listen to voicemail
messages.
5.6.1 Indication of New Voicemail Messages
New voicemail messages are indicated in the following ways:
• By the Voicemail
icon in the:
− status bar.
− notification drawer.
− charging screen.
• For handset in Wifi or Cellular mode, by the red circle
on the:
− App view icon
in the Alert view.
− Phone app icon
in the App view.
• By the Voicemail icon with the number of waiting voicemail messages on key One
on the
Phone app keypad screen.
For handsets in DECT mode, only the Voicemail icon is displayed on key One, the number of
waiting vociemail messages is not available.
The icons and badges indicating voicemail messages disappear after you have listened to your new
voicemail messages.
5.6.2 Listen to Voicemail Messages
Call the voicemail inbox to listen to your voicemail messages:
1. Call the voicemail inbox by using one of the following methods:
− Tap the voicemail message notification in the notification drawer.
− Tap and hold the Key One
on the Phone app keypad screen.
2. Follow the instructions presented by the voicemail service.
TIP: Tap the Keypad icon
to open the keypad while in a call.
5.7 Push-to-Talk Group Call
A push-to-talk (PTT) group call provides instant voice connectivity to a group of persons. When a person in
the group wants to talk, the person taps and holds a button to open the microphone on the handset.
The handset cannot receive other calls while in a push-to-talk group call.
