The following options are available during a PTT session:
• Tap and hold the Push-to-talk icon
to open the microphone for transmitting. The microphone is
muted again when the button is released.
TIP: If configured, the Multifunction button on the top of the handset can also be used as a push-to-talk
button.
• Tap the Speaker icon
to enable/disable the loudspeaker. Use the Volume up, or Volume down
buttons to adjust the volume.
• Tap the End call icon
to disconnect from the PTT session. For instructions on how to rejoin a
disconnected session, see 5.7.4 Rejoin a PTT Call Session on page 49
A PTT session can be terminated remotely by the system. All users are automatically
disconnected from a terminated session.
• Press the Home button to hide the call screen temporarily, without disconnecting from the PTT session.
Information about the ongoing session is displayed in the phone bar (see 5.4.11 The Phone Bar on page
45 for details about the phone bar). The push-to-talk button on the phone bar can be used to open the
microphone for transmitting, in the same way as on the call screen.
