3. On the Choose your PIN screen, enter the personal PIN code that will be used for logging in to the
shared phone and tap Continue.
4. Re-enter the PIN code and tap OK.
Log Out from a Shared Handset
To log out from the device, do one of the following:
• If the handset is unlocked, log out from the Notification Drawer. See 4.12.3 Log Out, page 28.
• If the handset is locked and the Availability status feature is enabled, on the lock screen tap the notifica-
tion that says Tap to change status and select Log Out.
Alerts, conversations and call logs are purged when a new user logs in to the handset.
4.13 Availability Status
This is a system dependent feature.
If the system is configured for it, users can select their availability status from the handset. This availability
status can be used by the system for example when deciding which handsets to send an alert to.
In some cases, system applications can change the availability status for the handset automatically, for
example after accepting an alert message.

configure the availability status feature for the handset.
4.13.1 Availability Status Indication
The current availability status is shown as a colored dot on the left side in the status bar on all views, and in
the top bar in the Alert view.

The following colors are used to indicate the availability status:
Color Availability Status
Green Available
Red Busy
Grey Logged out/Offline
4.13.2 Set the Availability Status
If login is enabled on the handset, log in first to access the availability functionality. See 4.12 Unite
Log In, or Log Out, page 25.
