There are four types of notifications:
Alert Notifications
The alert notification shows color coded alerts when they reach the handset. Tapping on the notification will
open up the alert in the same way as in the alert view, i.e. in full screen. See 7 Alerts, page 51 for details on
how to handle alerts.
If additional unhandled alerts are waiting in the handset, the text "And X more..." will be shown underneath
the notification.
Alert notifications will not appear while in the Alert view.

Conversations
The conversation notification appears when a new conversation message is received. Tap the notification
to open up the conversation view. See 8 Messaging, page 61 for details on how to view and reply to
conversation messages. The notification remains on screen until it is dismissed.
Conversation notifications will not appear while in the Conversation view, or when receiving a
message from a currently open conversation.
