Intended use
The motorised multi-point lock 519 is suitable for installation in single or double-leaf tubular frame or
solid-leaf doors (backset 55 mm or greater) made of metal, plastic or wood.
It may only be installed in double-leaf doors when the inactive leaf can be securely held in place with zero
play and the active leaf runs against a stop edge.
It is designed to provide door locking in security areas and is approved for use in emergency exit door
locks according to DIN EN 179 and panic door locks according to DIN EN 1125. The motorised multi-point
lock 519 is only approved for single leaf panic doors
1
. It is approved for use in fire doors.
The motorised multi-point lock can be combined with a swing door drive. It may only be installed in
properly functioning door systems. All applicable regulations for the complete door system must be
observed.
Since the lock is equipped with a striking plate sensor, only suitable striking plates may be used
(“Striking plates”, page78, “Production of customer-provided striking plates”, page72).
We recommend using the striking plate which we offer. When a customer-provided striking plate is used,
the only recommended material is magnetic steel, such as 1.0330 or 1.4016.
The device is suitable for installation according to the installation instructions and use according to the
functional description.
The motorised multi-point lock 519 is suitable for installation in doors with high usage frequency in situa-
tions when there is little incentive to be careful, thus posing the possibility of accidents or misuse (such as
office doors).
It is not intended for any other type of use.
1 Note in CPD-0432-0017:
