Installation
Warning!
Check for damage: Damaged cables can result in electric shock. Damage to the metal parts may cause
injury. A damaged device is a safety risk. Check the packaging and the motorised multi-point lock 519 for
damage. A damaged device may not be put into operation. Damaged cables and connector assemblies
must not be used either.
Observe the specifications and regulations of inspection authorities: Regulations established by inspec-
tion authorities must be complied with for installation and electrical connection of the motorised multi-
point lock 519. Specifications of the door manufacturer must also be observed.
Attention!
Property damage from work on the door leaf: The lock must be removed for all work on the door leaf,
such as drilling or cutting.
Functional limitation due to faulty recess of the lock pocket: The lock pocket must be created cor-
responding to the lock pocket dimensions. You must insert the lock without using any force and screw it
into place, so that is not subject to mechanical stress.
Property damage after drilling through the lock: The lock is damaged by drilling. You may only use exist-
ing holes drilled at the factory to attach door fittings. The lock must be removed for any work on the door
leaf, such as drilling or cutting.
Damage from dirt: The lock is damaged by dirt. Prior to installation, the lock pocket and all holes must be
cleaned (by blowing out or vacuuming).
Functional limitation due to distorted installation: The lock, bolts, and accessories (striking plate, fit-
tings, door handles) must be installed free of torsion. All bolts must close without transverse stress.
Functional limitation due to door handles not moving freely: The lock must be fitted in such a way that
the handle spindle and the spindle hub align.
Property damage due to forceful installation of the handle pin into the follower: The door handle
spindle must be gently inserted into the spindle hub. No tools are needed.
Protecting the door from inadvertent closing: The lock locks a closed door automatically and can then
only be unlocked again with an electric control signal or with the locking cylinder. A locking cylinder must
be installed before the door is closed.
Observe the tolerances for the voltage supply: The operating voltage measured on the motorised multi-
point lock 519 at rated current consumption must lie within the specified tolerance limits. Damage and
malfunctions will occur if the tolerance limits are exceeded or undercut.
Danger of destruction with construction key: The use of a so-called construction key can destroy the
lock. Then the function is no longer guaranteed. Only use a suitable locking cylinder for operation of the
lock.
