Function and operation
Office Function
The office function enables permanent unlocking of the locking for control by means of a permanent
contact. This way, the building can be made accessible from outside for a predefined time period by
means of an electronic access control system or timer.
Toggle function
The toggle function enables switching between permanent unlocking and locking of the lock each time
the control input of the control is switched.
Warning!
Permanent unlocking is not permitted in the case of fire and smoke protection doors: With perma-
nent unlocking (office function or toggle function), the secure locking function of a fire or smoke protec-
tion door is no longer guaranteed.
Door sensor
A door sensor which monitors the door status is installed in the lock. The door sensor reacts to the striking
plate. The door must be closed for the lock to lock.
For this purpose,
· the control latch must be actuated and
· the striking plate must be recognised by the door sensor.
If the striking plate is not recognised, the following automated actions are carried out.
· The lock locks, unlocks, and locks again (a total of two time).
· The lock remains unlocked after these processes.
Testing the door sensor
1 Open the door.
2 Hold a medal object or the loose striking plate in front of the door sensor.
3 Press the latch bolt and then the control latch.
4 Release the latch bolt.
 When functioning correctly:
· The lock locks.
· The deadbolt and latch bolt extend.
· The latch bolt is blocked.
 When not functioning correctly (or if you immediately remove the metal object and continue to press the control latch):
· The lock locks and unlocks again a total of three times.
· Then the lock remains unlocked and the deadbolt and the latch bolt are retracted.
· The lock is in fault status and a fault message is issued at the UII control module
(“Status query via the UII control module”, page67).
Resetting faults on the door sensor
1 Operate the release button.
or
switch the operating voltage off and on again.
 The fault is reset.
