Examples of use
The following examples show the possible applications of the motorised multi-point lock 519 with the UII
control module (“Motorised multi-point lock 519”, page44), fire door module, and an additional
escape door locking device.
Barrier-free doors
When combined with the UII control module and a swing door drive, the motorised multi-point lock 519
offers the possibility of installing a barrier-free door, e.g. for use in a hospital.
The motorised unlocking of the lock takes place with a release button. The swing door drive control output
is then actuated and the door opens.
The door is closed again with the time-controlled swing door drive, and the mechanical automatic locking
function secures the door (“Configuration of the UII control module / meaning of the switches”, page 64).
Safely locking fire and smoke protection doors
When combined with the UII control module and the fire door module, the motorised multi-point lock 519
provides secure locking of a fire and smoke protection door. With actuation by means of a fire alarm
system or a smoke detector, the alarm is issued and the lock is actuated by means of the fire module.
If the motorised multi-point lock 519 is locked by means of the fire module, motorised unlocking is only
possible once the voltage supply is re-established and the fire alarm has been reset.
In the case of a fire door with swing door drive, a fire alarm or a hold-open system with a fire detector
approved by inspection authorities is normally required. This actuates the swing door drive and the
motorised multi-point lock 519.
