Installation
Production of customer-provided striking plates
Matching striking plates can be ordered from ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH. When a customer-pro-
vided striking plate is used, magnetic steel, such as 1.0330 or 1.4016 is a suitable material.
Attention!
The control latch may not extend when the door is closed: When producing striking plates, it must be
ensured that the control latch never extends when a door is closed. In such case, it would not be possible
to open the door again. The control latch is not designed for closing and locking, therefore it cannot be
retracted either.
When customer-provided locking plates are produced, the following specifications must be observed.
· The dimensions mentioned in Pic. 13 must be observed,
· the striking plate must protrude into the area of the striking plate sensor,
· the latch bolt and control latch must be pushed back by the striking edge,
· the striking edge may only be the striking plate (not an aluminium frame edge).
· The latch bolt and control latch must be able to slide to the locking position unimpeded over a contigu-
ous, completely level surface (no drilled holes, impressions, etc.).
· the thresholds for the rebate gap must be observed.
