Dial, edit or delete a directory entry
Using the telephone base:
1. Search for the desired entry in the directory (see Review directory
entries and 3-character alphabetical search on pages 92-93).
2. When a directory entry displays, press EDIT. The screen shows EDIT
NUMBER along with the phone number to be edited.
3. Use the dialing keys to edit the number:
f Press qCALLER ID or pDIRECTORY to move the cursor to the le or right.
f Press X/DELETE or BACKSP to erase a digit.
f Press and hold X/DELETE to erase all digits.
f Press and hold REDIAL/PAUSE to add a dialing pause (a p appears).
4. Press NEXT.
5. Press qCALLER ID or pDIRECTORY to highlight one of the following types.
f Home
f Cell
f Work
f Other
6. Press NEXT. The screen displays EDIT NAME.
7. Use the dialing keys to edit the name.
f Press 0 to add a space.
f Press qCALLER ID or pDIRECTORY to move the cursor to the le or right.
f Press X/DELETE or BACKSP to erase a character.
f Press and hold X/DELETE to erase all characters.
8. Press SAVE to save the entry. There is a conrmation tone and the screen
shows Saved to directory.
