5.13.4.2 Configure Events
This menu selection allows you to configure event properties.
From the External Interfaces Menu (5.13.1), perform the
following:
Use the arrow down button to select ESPA, then press Enter.
Use the arrow down button to select Configure Events, then
press Enter and you can define a text, the number of beeps and
transmissions for the following events:
o Alarm
o Prealarm
o Fault
o Supervisory
o Startup
o Test
Select Alarm (the uppermost menu), then press Enter twice.
Type a freely chosen text, then press Enter.
Enter the number of beeps (refer to the paging system’s
specifications), then press Enter.
Enter the number of transmissions (normally 2 transmissions for
normal calls and 3 transmissions for alarms), then press Enter.
To confirm the settings, press Enter once more.
Configure the properties for all other events as described above.
5.13.4.3 Configure Receivers
This menu selection allows you to configure user properties.
From the External Interfaces Menu (5.13.1), perform the
following:
Use the arrow down button to select ESPA, then press Enter.
Use the arrow down button to select Configure Receivers, then
press Enter.
You can now define the properties for 10 differenet users.
Select User 1 (the uppermost selection), then press Enter twice.
Enter the user name, then press Enter.
Enter the receiver number, then press Enter.
Use the left and right arrow button to select the events that are to
be displayed, including one of the following selections:
o no events
o all events
o alarm
o alarm + prealarm
o alarm + prealarm + supervisory
To confirm the settings, press Enter once more.
Configure the properties for all other users as described above.
