6. Opacity Measuring Chamber Type A
This chapter applies only to AVL DiCom 4000 instruments.
6.1 System Check with Filter
• Switch the instrument on ready for operation.
• Select Control measurements (CONT) in the diesel engine menu and the Control
measurement with filter (FLT).
• Open the detector cover.

Only 12 V A-type (435) opacity measuring chambers
may be used with the AVL DiCom 4000!
Use of 2.6 V opacity measuring chambers will damage
the AVL DiCom 4000!
