6.6 Heating Blocks and Orifice Plates
• Dismantle the opacity measuring chamber as described in section 6.4 Dismantling the
Opacity Measuring Chamber.
One heating block is mounted in half-shell 1 and the other in half-shell 2 - the two
heating blocks are identical.
• To dismantle them:
− Disconnect the Faston connector of the protective conductor.
− Disconnect the power cable connector to the heating block.
− Undo the screws shown in Fig. 6-21 on the outside of each half-shell.

In the heating block of half-shell 1 (exhaust gas outlet) is a
temperature sensor which is bonded to the half-shell.
Remove the sensor by gently pulling it away before you dismantle
the heating block.
