4000 Opacity Measuring Chamber Type A
Service Manual 6-17
After reassembly, check whether the gap between the bonnets and the valve housing
(press fit) is evenly closed all round.
Re-connect the geared motor.
Make sure that the connector is in the right position (the contacts are numbered).
Replace the valve block in half-shell 1.
6.8 Temperature Sensor
To replace the sensor, remove the housing cover of the opacity measuring chamber. It
is not necessary to completely dismantle the measuring chamber.
Two temperature sensors (EZ0116) are fitted in the measuring chamber.
Temperature sensor 1 (half-shell 1, heating block)
The sensor is bonded in position and can be removed by carefully pulling it away.
Remove any remains of glue before reassembling.
Ensure that the setscrew is screwed into the flattened side of the
motor shaft.
When press-fitting the valve bonnet into the housing, ensure that
it goes in straight and that the housing is in the correct position
(guided by straight pin).
After working on and reassembling the changeover valve, always
carry out a function test on the measuring chamber to check that
the valve is working properly (see Operating Manual).
In diesel service mode set the various valve positions, check them
and check the valve voltages.
