6-16 Service Manual
Dismantling the valve block
• The two valve bonnets are press-fitted in the valve housing.
• Open the valve housing by carefully forcing open gap "X" (Fig. 6-24) applying even
pressure around the circumference using a thin blade (e.g. chisel, screwdriver etc.)
until the bonnet drops out of the housing.
• The valve vane is fixed to the shaft of the motor by a setscrew.
• Valve bonnet 1 is fixed to the geared motor by 3 M3x16 countersunk screws.
• During reassembly, the straight pin ensures that the valve housing is correctly
positioned.
Reassembling the valve block
• Fix the three M3x16 countersunk screws with Loctite 242 after assembly.
• Fix the setscrew (=DS0988=) with Loctite 242.
Always open valve bonnet 2 first.
With a waterproof marker, mark the position of valve bonnet
1 and valve housing in relation to each other.
Not all models have a straight pin.
It is absolutely essential for the purpose of reassembly
therefore to mark the position of valve bonnet 1 and the
valve housing in relation to each other.
The slide faces of each sliding disc must always face the
respective valve bonnet.
