6.13 Reassembly of the Opacity Measuring Chamber
• Check that the seal in half-shell 2 is sitting correctly.
• Join the two half-shells together
− Before doing so, feed the disconnected cables through the space in half-shell 2
(fan, heating block and protective conductor cables, see section 6.12 Electrical
Wiring).
Note:
− The axles of the optical units must be fitted into the mounting;
− The purging air panels must be correctly mounted;
− No cables should be caught or pinched.
• Screw the half-shells back together with the stud bolts (including the handle).
• Fit the housing cover and probe holder.
• Make sure not to confuse the housing covers when reassembling - they are not
interchangeable!
Tighten the stud bolts gently so as not to damage the half- shells.
If you use a torque wrench:
tightening torque for stud bolts = 3 Nm
Check that the seals are sitting properly.
After doing any maintenance work that involves
dismantling the measuring chamber, always carry out a full
function test (see Operating Manual).
