3. Physical installation
3.1 Positioning the DP2K-32B at port window
WARNING: The installation of the DP2K-32B projector requires at least 4 p ersons.
General guide lines
• Use a solid pedestal to put the DP 2K-32B projector on. Ensure that the pedestal can handle the weight o
f the projector and
that all feet of the pr ojector ar e captured.
• The pedestal should be placed in front of the port window wall in a mann er that the projector front cover is at a minim u m distance
of 20 centimeters from the port window.

Positioning at port window
Barco offers a pedestal for the DP2K -32B digital p rojector. This universal pedestal allows a solid and easy
setup of the projector. The un iversal ped estal has a separate co mp artment t o install the UPS unit (if available)
for the DP2K-32B d igital projector. Futhermo re, the u niversal pedestal co ntains a standard 19” rack to build
in the projector peripherals like alternative co ntent switchers (e.g. ACS-2 048).
Necessary tools
• 14 mm wrench
• 17 mm wrench
Projector centering
1. If the projector is standalone in front of the port window, center the projector with the theatre screen (see ref A image 3-2).
2. If a film pro jector is already present (proj
ector w ill be off-center), try to optimize aim (see ref B imag e 3-2).
Note: Unlike film projectors, it is best to keep the projector lens surface as parallel to the screen as possible, even if it is
significantly above the screen center.
The off-center position slightly increases s ide keystone, but will m inimize horizontal lens offset required.
