8.3 Warp
About
Image w arping is the process of digitally ma nipulating an image to compens ate for the distortion of the screen, typically by non
perpendicular alignment of the projector versus the screen. The image will then typically oc cur as shown inim age 8-2.
While an image can be t ransformed in various ways, pure war ping doesn’t affect the colors.

Basically, this type of war ping adjusts each of the four image corners in the X and Y direction, if you have a typical trapezoid picture
of the screen as shown abo ve.
To have a successful Warp correction, the size of the screen m ust be entered. The size are expressed in the X and Y m easur ed
values, independent of the term of the m easurement. (mm, inches, yards or whatever), but must be expressed in whole numbers
without decimals. T his means that the acc uracy are higher w hen given in m m than in inches. T he projector then calculate the aspect
ratio.
All four corners can be adjusted and the image correction is calc ulated accordingly us ing perspective algor ithm. T his can be used
for keystone correction.
Use the navigational arrows to adjus t the image.
Changes occur dy namically to the image display.
How to adjust Warp
Enter the Warp menu, Enable the Warp button, and select the corners that must be adjusted.
Use the arrow keys to move the corners.
When finished, exit the menu.
