1. Introduction
The information contained in this manual is intended to allow users to know and operate this product properly.
The E0201 Ultrasonic washers are designed and built using the best technology available in the areas of mechanics,
hydraulics, thermodynamics, instrumentation, electronics and computers, and the detailed knowledge of the product
is what will allow you to get the best performance out of it.
This manual also contains the information necessary to qualify the product in the face of regulatory requirements in
the areas of health and industry.
The information necessary for the elaboration of protocols or contracting of services for the qualification of
installations, operational qualification and performance qualification, with the application of the relevant standards,
are contained in this manual.
Bearing in mind that under Brazilian health legislation, these qualifications must be carried out annually and after
significant maintenance interventions of the equipment, if any.
The same legislation defines that the equipment manufacturer is responsible for executing the installation and
operation qualifications. This service, however, has a variable cost depending on the distance from the installation
site to the headquarters of the service network accredited by Baumer and the optional features incorporated in the
equipment in question. Thus, the performance of these services has costs not included in the equipment supply price
and must be negotiated at the time of purchase.
Some additional and necessary information is available in separate documents.
This is the case with the installation guide that defines in detail the quality requirements and flow rates of the necessary
supplies, the space and environmental requirements for the correct functioning of the equipment and the necessary
care with unloading, unpacking and internal displacement of the equipment.
As for maintenance, cleaning and conservation services, the information contained in this manual is intended to
describe procedures of less complexity and conservation that are mandatory for users, and to identify possible
problems that should be referred to service by technicians accredited by Baumer . More detailed information regarding
maintenance can be found in the maintenance manual.
The intervention of non-accredited personnel implies the end of the warranty for products still within the validity period
of this warranty for the equipment or parts of it, and IN THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE MANUFACTURER'S
RESPONSIBILITY for equipment outside these periods.
2. Product presentation
The E0201 Ultrasonic washers are the result of technology developed by Baumer S.A. in the construction of
equipment for cleaning medical devices and materials used to care for patients in healthcare establishments and for
devices and materials used in laboratories and industries.
It is presented in models with capacities ranging from 20L and 200L (see table below) and are intended for the
cleaning of materials in hospitals and other health establishments, medical laboratories, and in quality control
laboratories and production processes in the pharmaceutical industries. and others.
The E0201 Ultrasonic washers use water, detergent, temperature and ultrasonic vibration as a cleaning agent.
Control is automated using a dedicated microprocessor-controlled PLC industrial type.
Its main action is to assist in removing the dirt present in the materials in the purge and cleaning environment of the
CME’s. The operation is based on the transformation of electrical energy into mechanics, through ultrasonic
transducers, which generate high frequency vibrations in the tank filled with water and products that assist in cleaning.
These waves cause the formation of microscopic air bubbles that come into contact with the instruments, acting as
small brushes that work in all directions and attack the entire surface to be cleaned, entering the places of difficult
access and removing various types of residues organic and inorganic. Lumens are cleaned with the result of the
ultrasonic action next to an intermittent flow pump so that: the ultrasonic action detaches dirt from the lumens and the
intermittent flow drags loose debris, removing it.
Its use is suitable for:
• Instrumentals;
• Lumens;
• General surgical instrumentals.
For internal dirt in the lumen it is necessary to use the specific accessory for each article diameter.
