14. Maintenance
The maintenance procedure of any equipment is of vital importance to guarantee the quality of the process and the
longevity of the product and should be considered by the institution as an economic factor, as well as the acquisition
and use of the equipment.
Concept of maintenance
They are all actions necessary to keep an equipment or system in operation or to restore it to operation. Maintenance
includes conservation, repair, replacement, overhaul, inspection and determination of work efficiency.
For Baumer S.A. products, at least two types of maintenance must be provided: corrective and preventive
maintenance.
The execution of all periodic preventive maintenance presented on LogBook is the essential condition for maintaining
the limited warranty according Baumer S.A. Limited Warranty Term.
Baumer S.A.'s network of representatives is able to offer exclusive preventive maintenance programs to our
customers under special conditions.
The washer-disinfector must be disconnected from the electrical supply before starting any repair or
maintenance.
Maintenance and repair of the washer-disinfector must be performed by specially trained technicians.
For any reason, any safety components of the equipment must be modified or changed without
previous warning.
During maintenance procedures, stress tests and / or operating examinations by accredited
technicians, the area around the equipment must be isolated, without the presence of users. Only the
responsible technician must be in the limited area. Demonstration of work performed and release of
isolation will occur after completion of procedures.
According to ANVISA regulations (see regulations specific to the country of destination) the biological
test must be performed at the end of all preventive and corrective maintenance.
15. Cleaning and conservation
Cleaning procedures and maintenance are important to help with the integrity of the equipment and to be part of the
process of cleaning the environment.
Some processes may be performed by the user:
Daily:
• Check if there is enough chemical product for the planned use of the day;
• I understand that the hose that prevents the supply of the product is not doubled in any interference
that obstructs the product's path;
• Clean external finishes with products that do not damage stainless steel (more details below);
• Remove the drainage line from the bathtub by cleaning any other type of material that could cause
obstruction or obstruction (further details are provided);
• Check the printable paper corner (when this option is available).
• Realize cleaning efficiency tests. To do this, use ultrasound efficiency indicators.
