After firmware update, the PLC will be configured with a fixed default IP address: ETH 1: IP 192.168.1.100,
SubNet: 255.255.255.0, Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Update software, ACP LINK panel PLC
1. If ACP is in operation, then stop operation and secure against unintended start of motors/
compressors.
2. For first installation it is necessary to use a program, that forces the PLC node name to a certain fixed
value. If more than one ACP will be on the same network, then it must be assured that each PLC
receives a unique PLC node name: first machine “MAIN_CONTROLLER1”, second:
“MAIN_CONTROLLER2”, etc. For update of a PLC that already contains an older program version, a
program version that will not reset the PLC node name must be used. See also 8.1.3 on information
how to change node-name of PLC.
3. The program can be delivered by BITZER in a zipped file or as files in a folder (typical folder name for
update: “sd_card_plc_v1.1.0.0” and typical folder name for first installation: “sd_card_plc_v1.1.0.0
_MAIN_CONTROLLER1”).
4. If zipped, take the zip-file and extract directly onto a formatted SD-card (Fat32). Root folder shall
contain two folders “sys” and “usr”:
The files will have this structure. Copy them all (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C) and paste to the SD card (Ctrl+V)
Alternatively, copy the files in the folder for the software onto the SD-Card.
5. Make sure to have documentation of the configuration, parameters, settings and communication
settings (IP-addresses and PLC node name).
6. Take the SD-card with the program and insert it into the slot on the PLC (this can be done, while the
PLC is in operation).
7. The SD-LED will be blinking a few seconds. Wait about 30 sec. The SD-LED should stop blinking and
continue to be on. At this point the ERR-LED starts blinking.
8. Turn off the power to the PLC (can be done by disconnecting the connector at the bottom of the
PLC).
9. Take out the SD-card.
10. Turn on the power to the PLC again.
11. The PLC will reboot with the new program. Communication with HMI can be established after
installation of HMI software.
The program update will not change the IP address of the PLC, but may change the node name. Be aware to
use the correct program file for update to avoid incorrect node name.
