14) Carefully remove the cable clamp lock
that is positioned on the cable at the
point the cable exits the hold down
box.
15) Exit pit area. Remove safety stand
and lower maintenance strut. Grasp
the leading edge of the lip and pull the
deck down to approximately 6” above
the dock height. Lift the lip
approximately 2” to release the lip lock
and lower it to its hanging position.

16) Walk the deck down to stored position,
cycle the unit up and down several
times, stopping the deck at numerous
positions above and below dock height
to assure the hold down system will
hold the deck in any position.

17) IMPORTANT: Do not lubricate anything in the interior of the hold down box.
18) Install the cable retaining clamp that was removed from the new hold down box onto
the cable of the old hold down box, as close as possible to the vice-grip clamp.
Securely tighten the cable clamp and remove the vice-grips. Wind the loose cable
onto the exterior of the box and dispose of the complete assembly.
The cable of the old hold down box may be under high spring tension
to rewind it into the hold down box.
