9.1.2. Automatic selection
The synchronisation source is automatically selected based on reception quality.
No holdover between changing synchronisation sources.
Scenario1:lossofsynchronisationfromtheprimarythensecondarysources
> Freerun on product start-up
> Synchronisation with the primary source (e.g. GPS)
> (e.g. NTP)
> Loss of synchronisation from the secondary source
> Holdover
> No synchronisation: switch to freerun
Scenario2:nosynchronisationsource
> Freerun on product start-up
> Timeout for both synchronisation sources (e.g. GPS + NTP)
> No synchronisation: switch to freerun
