IV.4.3 Set Time and Date
TheTimeandDateisdisplayedontheStatusBaratthetopofeveryscreen.Theseparametersare
setwithintheSetTimeandDatemenu.TheformatforsettingTimeandDatewillbebasedonthe
RegionalSettings(seeSectionIV.3).ChangefromSetTimetoSetDatebypressingthecommand
keyatthebottomofthescreen.WhenbothDateandTimearesetcorrectlyforyourlocation,press
OKtoacceptthechange.
IV.4.4 Backup and Import
The DV2TViscometer provides several options relating to storage of Results, Tests and User
Settings.BackupandImportmenuoptionsrelatetocreatingbackuples,updatinginstrument
software,andupdatinglanguageles.
Backup:CreateabackuplefromtheDV2Tinternalmemoryincluding:Settings,UserProles,
Results,andTests.ThisbackupleissavedtoaUSBFlashDriveandcanbeuploaded(Restore)
toanyDV2TViscometer.
ChoosethelocationwithinaUSBFlashDrivewheretheBackupleistobesaved.Anewfolder
canbecreatedbyusingtheNewFolderbutton.PresstheBackupbuttontocreatetheBackuple.
Restore:UploadapreviouslysavedBackuple.TheinformationfromtheBackupleincludes:
Settings,UserProles,Results,andTests.ExistingUserproleswillnotbeoverwritten.User
prolesfromtheBackuplewillbeaddedtotheuserprolesthatalreadyexistontheDV2T.
LocatetheBackupleontheattachedUSBFlashDrive.PresstheRestorebuttontouploadthe
Backuple.
Automatic Backup:CreateBackuplesaccordingtoaschedule.ThefrequencyissettoDaily,
WeeklyorMonthlyincrements.ThePathmustbespeciedandrequirestheuseofaUSBFlash
Drive.ChecktheAllowAutomaticBackupcheckboxtoinitiatethisfeature.ThecurrentBackup
lewilloverwritethepreviousBackuplelocatedinthepathlocation.
TIP:YoucanpreservehistoricalbackuplesbyusingmultipleUSBFlashDrives.
Import:UploadSettingsfromaBackuple.Userproles,ResultsandTestsarenotincluded.
LocatetheBackupleontheUSBFlashDrive.PresstheImportbuttontouploadSettingsfrom
theBackuple.
Add Language:LanguagelescanbeaddedtotheDV2TastheybecomeavailablefromBrookeld.
InsertaUSBFlashDriveintotheDV2Tthatcontainsthelanguagele.SelectAddLanguagefrom
theBackupandImportmenuandselecttheappropriatepath.PresstheImportcommandbuttonto
bringthenewlanguageleintotheDV2T.SelectthelanguageintheDisplaysectionoftheUser
Settings menu.
Update Software:TheinternaloperatingsoftwareoftheBrookeldDV2Tcanbeupdatedfrom
aUSBFlashDriveasnewversionsbecomeavailablefromBrookeld.InsertaUSBFlashDrive
intotheDV2Tthatcontainstheoperatingsoftwarele.SelectUpdateSoftwarefromtheBackup
andImportmenuandselecttheappropriatepath.PresstheUpdatecommandbuttontobringthe
newsoftwareleintotheDV2T.
