A
djust and install so that the backlash
is within 0.01 to 0.05.
Install the X motor assembly
(29) so that the projection is
touching against the bed.

Touch the X motor gea
r
(25) against the edge
of the ball bearing (c),
and then tighten the
two set screws (26).
A
pply grease to the
places indicated by the
arrows.
Apply grease to the
holes and grooves o
f
the X motor shaft.
Move the feed plate in the X direction so
that the center of the feed plate is aligned
w
ith the center of the needle hole, and then
install the X motor so that the index mark
on the end of the X motor shaft is facing
directly downward.
