ELECTRICAL AND IGNITION
CONNECTOR SERVICING
SUPER SEAL
The J1-A and J1-B conn ectors of the EMM are
AMP Super Seal connectors.
Disconnect
Depress BOT H latches and pull con nector from
plug.
Connect
Push connector into plug until latches engage.
Terminal Removal
Open lock me chanism and remove terminal from
connector housing.
Terminal Installation
Push terminal through seal until it is seated in con-
nector housing. Close lock mechanism.
POWER TIMER SERIES
The J2 con nector of the EMM is a AMP Power
Timer Series connector.
Disconnect
Use a screw driver to open latch. Pull co nnector
from plug.
Connect
Push connector until seate d in plug. Close latch
completely.
Terminal Removal
Use Terminal Rele ase T ool, P/N 351413, to
release BOTH locking mechanisms of con nector.
Pull terminal from housing.
