3.7.2 DangersfromElectricPower
DANGER
Dangertolifefromstoredcharges!
Electric charges may be stored in electrical components even after the system has
been switched off and disconnected from the power supply. Contact with these
componentsmayresultinseriousorfatalinjury.
1. Before working on the specified components, ensure that they have been
completelydisconnectedfromthepowersupply.
2. Allow 10 minutes to elapse in order to ensure that the internal capacitors have
beenfullydischarged.

Dangerofinjuryfromelectricalshock!
Alifethreateningshockmayresultwhenthehousingisopenduringoperation.
1. Onlyqualifiedpersonnelshouldopenthehousing.
2. Disconnectthedevicefromtheelectricalpowersupplybeforeopeningthedevice.
Useavoltmetertoverifythatthedeviceisnotunderpower!
3. Besurethatthepowersupplycannotbereconnectedwithoutnotice.

Friction between material being conveyed may result in significant development of
electrostatic potential. Therefore, contact with parts immediately following the
conveyingoperationmaybelifethreatening.
1. Potentialequalisationmustbe ensuredbeforemakingcontact withparts,unless
suchequalisationisprovidedbythecustomer.
Electrostatic discharge from friction may occur, resulting in an electric spark and loud
bang.UseESDflooringandwearESDshoes.

Absent or faulty protective earth conductor may result in contact voltage. This may
poseariskofinjuryordeath.
1. Beforetheinitialcommissioningofthedevice,connectthemainpowersupplyto
thesocketandverifythecompletefunctionalityoftheprotectiveearthconductor.
