3.5 PersonalProtectiveEquipment
Personalprotectiveequipmentisusedtoprotectthepersonnelfromdangerswhichcould
affecttheirsafetyorhealthwhileworking.
Personnel must wear personal protective equipment while carrying out the different
operationsatandwiththedevice.
This equipment will be defined by the head of the laboratory. Always comply with the
instructionsgoverningpersonalprotectiveequipmentpostedintheworkarea.
3.6 LocationoftheSafetyLabel
The laboratory supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all the warning labels are
maintainedintheirproperplaceanytimethatthedeviceisused.
3.7 BasicDangers
Thefollowingsectionspecifiesresidualriskswhichmayresultfromusingthedeviceand
havebeenestablishedbymeansofariskassessment.
In order to minimize health hazards and avoid dangerous situations, follow the safety

Dangerofinjuryfromflammablegas
Hydrogen is an extremely flammable gas that burns with an invisible flame. It can
formexplosivemixtureswithair.TheLowerExplosionLimit/LowerFlammabilityLimit
(LEL/LFL)is4%.
1. The device should be installed in a sufficiently spacious, well ventilated room
equippedwithapermanentH2alarmgassensor.
2. The user is referred to MSDS safety data sheets for hydrogen gas for further
information.
