6.2.2 ExhaustLineConnection
In normal operating mode, small amounts of hydrogen can be released through the
vacuumpumporthroughthesafetyvalvesandwillberoutedtothehydrogenventoutletat
therearsideoftheinstrument.

Ten meters of 8 mm flexible plastic tubing are delivered with the generator. The tubing
must be connected to the hydrogen gas vent port on the rear side (labeled H
2
vent) to
releasethehydrogen safelyoutsidethe room,e.g.by leadingitinto afumecupboard or
outdoors.
Onceallserviceshavebeenconnected,movethegeneratortoitsfinalpositionandlock
thetwofrontwheels.
WARNING
Equipmentdisplacementcandamagethehydrogengassupplyline.
OnceconnectedtotheH2gassupplyline,thegeneratorshouldonlybemovedover
veryshortdistancestoavoidcompromisingthegasconnections.
CAUTION
Riskofapplianceoverheatingandmalfunction
A clearance of 10 cm behind the rear panel and above and to both sides of the
BPHG90arerequiredforthecorrectcoolingofthegenerator.

Tightengasconnectionsfittingsandcheck allwithsoapywaterora special H2gas
leakdetector.
