7.4.1 Cooldown
Whenthecryostatvacuumisgood(below5mbar),thecryocoolerisautomaticallystarted.
When the cryocooler is functioning, it emits an audible noise, this noise is normal. The
soundleveloftheBPHGgeneratorisbelow70dBat1m.
WhiletheBPHG90iscoolingdown,relevantparametersaredisplayedonthecooldown
screen.

The cooldown process can be interrupted using the Abort button. When this button is
pressed, the user is asked to confirm his action before the cooldown is aborted. The
systemthenreturnstotheStandbyscreen.
Oncethesystemhasreachedtheoperatingtemperature,theReadyscreenappearswith
themainoperatingbuttonsBatchDeliveryandContinuousFlowenabled.TheBPHG90
is then ready to deliver parahydrogen. The time required to cool the system down from
roomtemperatureistypicallylessthanonehour.
7.5 ParahydrogenDeliveryModes
Oncetheconversionchamberhasreachedthedesiredconversiontemperature,theBPHG
90isreadytodeliverparahydrogenintwodifferentmodes:
1. BatchDelivery
2. ContinuousFlow
TheBatchDeliverymodeservestostoretheproducedparahydrogengasinacontainer
orabottleforsubsequentuseatanotherlocation.
