9.1.3.3 CoolantPump
The coolant pump needs to be checked for wear and tear every 10000 operating hours
(approximately1yearfulltimeoperation)andreplacedifnecessary.
9.1.4 GasPurifierCartridgeReplacement
Thegaspurifiercartridgemustbereplacedevery8000hours(approximately12monthsof
operation) or if the conversion chamber is often blocked by frozen contaminants. The
BPHG90monitorstheoperatingtimeoftheinstrumentandissuesamaintenancewarning
ifthecartridgeapproachesitsmaximumlifetime.
9.1.5 Cryocooler
The cryocooler needs no special maintenance. It needs to be replaced every 50000
operatinghours(morethan5yearsoffulltimeoperation).
9.2 UserMaintenance
9.2.1 CleaningInstructions
Clean the cabinet and screen using a mild soap and water mixture. Use a soft cloth or
sponge slightly moistened with the mixture. Note that the enclosure of the BPHG is not
watertightandavoidusingexcessiveamountsofcleaningfluid.
Donotuseharshcleaners,solvents,ordetergents.Neverspraythecleaningfluiddirectly
ontothetouchscreen.
Ensure the radiator on the rear panel does not become clogged with dust. It can be
cleanedusingavacuumcleaner.
9.2.2 CryocoolerCoolantCircuit
TherecommendedcoolantfortheclosedloopcoolingsystemoftheBPHG90consistsof
distilled water with the addition of a small amount of algaecide to avoid organic
contaminationbyalgae.
Thecoolantsystemrequiresregulartoppingup.Theinstrumentmonitorsthecoolantlevel
inthereservoirandissuesawarningifitdropsbelowapresetlevel.Ifthelevelistoolow,
the operation of the cryocooler is stopped. It is recommended to completely replace the
coolantevery6months.
9.2.2.1 HowtoDraintheCoolingSystem
Todrainthecoolingsystem,proceedasfollows:
1. Stopthegeneratoroperationandpoweroffthedevice.Disconnectthepowercord.
2. Removethecoverontherearpaneltogainaccesstothecoolantreservoir.
3. Removethecapofthecoolantreservoir.
