10. Unit hardware backup
For applications that require continuous humidity control, a second backup unit may be required, which
is automatically activated in the event of a malfunction on the first. The gaSteam controller features a
dedicated digital input and output for the backup connection, so as to guarantee, via the normally-open
contact, activation of the second unit.

The hardware backup function must be activated on the menu in screen Ee01. Screen Ee02 is used to set
the unit with higher priority in the event of simultaneous activation. To ensure service continuity, the
external signal or probes must be connected to both units; in this way, both the main unit and the
backup unit will be completely independent. If using autonomous control with probes, it is
recommended to use dedicated probes for each unit (main probe and limit probe), in other words, do
not share the probes between the units. This will guarantee service even in the event of probe
malfunctions.
