Examples
The following example shows how to establish the unencrypted password pwd1 for user. The output from the
show command displays the password in its encrypted form.
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router# configure
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config)# username user1
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-un)# password 0 pwd1
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-un)# commit
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:router(config-un)# show running-config
Building configuration...
username user1
password 7 141B1309
