Using a Bluetooth Headset (Cisco SPA525G/525G2)
To enable a Bluetooth headset from the configuration utility:
STEP 1 Log in to the configuration utility.
STEP 2 Click Bluetooth.
STEP 3 Under Bluetooth Device, choose On.
STEP 4 Under Bluetooth Device List, press Scan for Bluetooth Devices.
STEP 5 In the Bluetooth Device List, click the name of the Bluetooth headset.
STEP 6 Enter the PIN for the Bluetooth headset.
STEP 7 Press Submit All Changes.
To enable a Bluetooth headset from the phone:
STEP 1 Enable Bluetooth as described in the “Enabling Bluetooth (Cisco SPA525G/
525G2)” section on page 80.
STEP 2 Press the Setup button.
STEP 3 Scroll to User Preferences and press Select.
STEP 4 Scroll to Bluetooth Configuration and press Select.
STEP 5 Scroll to Bluetooth Mode and press the Right Arrow key to choose one of the
following:
• Phone—Your Cisco SPA525G2 will pair with a Bluetooth headset only.
Choose this option if you will not use the Cisco SPA525G2 with a Bluetooth-
enabled mobile phone.
• Both—Your Cisco SPA525G2 will use a Bluetooth headset, or operate with
your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone (see Pairing Your Cisco SPA525G2
with a Bluetooth-Enabled Mobile Phone, page 82). Note that your Cisco
SPA525G2 will connect to only one device at a time (either the Bluetooth
headset or the Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone.)
If multiple Bluetooth devices are in range of the Cisco SPA525G2, the order
of devices in the Bluetooth Configuration > Bluetooth Profiles list is used,
and the device with a higher priority is activated first.
