8.1.9  Peripheral Modules Error detection 
It is possible to adjust the protection of level 1 (yellow) or level 2 (red) to any configured peripheral 
module. If the controller detects that this periphery is missing it issues the corresponding alarm. In 
BTB application Warning is issued when WARNING(YEL) option is selected and level 2 with no action 
is issued when SHUTDOWN(RED) option is selected (this alarm has the type of MPR (Mains Protect 
with Reset) which is not present in BTB application and therefore the controller takes no action). If 
opening of the breaker is required, utilize the function shown below. 
The corresponding protection can be adjusted. 
Alarm level 1 or level 2 is issued when the 
controller detects missing periphery (WARNING 
(YEL) – level 1, SHUTDOWN (RED) – level 2)
 
Adjust LBO PeriphCommErr to one VPIO output
 
Adjust protection to the corresponding VPIO input
Change the type to the BrkOpen w/Reset
 
NOTE:    
If more than one module are configured, the BreakerOpen with Reset protection is issued when any of 
these modules is detected as missing!
