7. OPERATING THE ENGINE

Checking the Lights on the Instrument Panel
When the key is turned to the ON position:
1. The engine oil pressure warning light turns ON.
2. The alternator / battery charging light turns ON.
(A) Engine oil pressure warning light
(B) Alternator / Battery charging light
NOTE:
The engine oil pressure warning light turns off within
5 seconds after the engine is started.
The alternator / battery charging light turns off within
10 seconds after the engine is started.
IMPORTANT: Avoid damage.
When the engine oil pressure warning light does
not turn OFF within 10 seconds after the engine is
started, the engine oil pressure is too low.
Immediately stop the engine and contact your local
Cub Cadet Yanmar dealer for technical assistance.
When the alternator / battery charging light does
not turn OFF within 15 seconds after the engine is
started, the power generated by the alternator is
too low. Increase the engine speed to its maximum
so as to increase the power. If the light still remains
lit, immediately stop the engine and contact your
local Cub Cadet Yanmar dealer for technical
assistance.
11.Turn the key to the PREHEATING
position and energize the glow plug to
preheat the engine.
(A) Preheating position
(B) START position
Preheating time should be determined according to
outside air temperature. For details, refer to the table
below.
