More and more bikes are tted with car-

Carbon bre components are very sensi-

damage.

11 Transporting your bike
Risk of Personal Injury and
Material Damage!
An unsuitable transportation system
may damage parts of your bike which are
important for safety and lead to dange-
rous riding situations, falls, accidents and
material damage.
It is best to only transport your bike inside
your car.
Make sure that no objects / items of luggage
are placed on the bike or the frame or can
damage it.
Secure the bike against unintentional slip-
ping during transport.
We expressly do not recommend the use of
a car carrier system (e.g. roof rack, rear rack,
etc.) to transport your bike and we therefore
do not authorise it.
The use of such carrier systems is therefore
at your own risk.
No liability or warranty claims can be made
for damage/accidents resulting from the use
of a rear carrier.
You may remove the front and rear wheels as well
as the seat post with saddle for transport if they are
tted with quick-release axles.
Only remove these parts if you are sure that you can
ret them correctly. See chapter 8.3, 8.8.
If your road wheels are bolted to the frame (e.g. in
the case of hub gears), consult your dealer
Danger of material damage!
If your bike is inside a vehicle, solar radia-
tion can cause the tyres to burst or come
away from the rim.
Let the air out of the tyres prior to transpor-
tation and ll them again after transportati-
on (see Chapter 7.1.3)
