3 — PROGRAMMABLE PARAMETERS
pg. 51
Return to TOC Curtis Model 1351 – December 2018
PARAMETER ALLOWABLE RANGE DEFAULT DESCRIPTION
Sine/Cosine Encoder This menu is Context Enabled: It is visible when Type = Sine/Cosine Encoder
Note, the sin/cos sensor physical waveforms are not bipolar, but center around an offset voltage, typically around 2.5v. The Peak-Peak voltage
swing may be as small a 1volt or up to 2.5 volts. If the sensor voltages go outside this range, position sensing will be faulty and not useable by the
VCL functions. In this case, a fault will be detected.
Sin Min Voltage
Sin_X_Min
Parameter’s CAN Index for Sin_X_Min:
1 = 0x3223 0x00
2 = 0x3233 0x00
0.50 – 4.50 V
50 – 450
3.00
300
The lowest voltage that the sine waveform normally reaches.
X = 1 or 2 for the Type: Sin_X_Min
Sin Max Voltage
Sin_X_Max

1 = 0x3224 0x00
2 = 0x3236 0x00
0.50 – 4.50 V
50 – 450
3.00
300
The highest voltage that the cosine waveform normally
reaches.
X = 1 or 2 for the Type: Cos_X_Max
Cosine Min Voltage

3.00
300
The lowest voltage that the cosine waveform normally
reaches.
X = 1 or 2 for the Type: Cos_X_Min
Saw Encoder This menu is Context Enabled: It is visible when Type = Saw Encoder
Sawtooth Max/Min voltage signal: If this analog signal goes outside the specied ranges for >60ms, a fault is declared.
Saw Encoder Max Voltage
Saw_Enc_X_Max_Voltage
Parameter’s CAN Index for Saw_
Enc_X_Max_Voltage
1 = 0x3229 0x00
2 = 0x3239 0x00
0.0 – 10.0 V
0 – 10000
0.0
0
Sets the highest voltage that is normally output by the
sawtooth encoder.
X = 1 or 2 for the Type: Saw_Enc_X_Max_Voltage
Saw Encoder Min Voltage
Saw_Enc_X_Min_Voltage
Parameter’s CAN Index for Saw_
Enc_X_Min_Voltage

0.0 – 10.0 V
0 – 10000
0.0
0
Sets the voltage, which is interpreted as the 0 degree point on
channel A.
X = 1 or 2 for the Type: Saw_Enc_X_Offset
If the position calculated using the channel A is outside
a tolerance parameter compared to that of channel B for
>60ms, a fault is declared
Saw Encoder Tracking Tolerance
Saw_Enc_X_Tracking_Tolerance
