Create changes during tuning as follows:
1. Activate switchboard control.
2. Use the switchboard GOV up or GOV down controls to ensure that the frequency is 1 Hz more or less than the busbar
frequency.
3. Deactivate switchboard control, press the Breaker close button on the display unit, and observe the response of the
synchronisation to the regulator. Use the observation to tune the regulator.
6.4.3 Tuning for phase synchronisation
This regulator is only relevant if static synchronisation is used.
To tune the phase synchronisation, the genset breaker must be open, and there must be voltage on the busbar.
Tune the phase synchronisation using the Tuning P regulation procedure for relay outputs, and Tuning PID regulation for
analogue outputs.
Create changes during tuning as follows:
1. Activate switchboard control.
2. Use the switchboard GOV up or GOV down controls to ensure that the frequency is 1 Hz more or less than the busbar
frequency.
3. Deactivate switchboard control, press the Breaker close button on the display unit, and observe the response of the
phase synchronisation to the regulator. Use the observation to tune the regulator.
INFO
For analogue output-controlled regulator, a correctly tuned Td is very important for phase synchronisation.
6.4.4 Tuning for power regulation
To tune the power regulation, the genset and at least one other genset must be connected to the busbar. The regulation of
the other genset must be tuned and stable, for example, by using the asymmetric load sharing settings.
Tune the power regulation using the Tuning P regulation procedure for relay outputs, and Tuning PID regulation for
analogue outputs.
Create power changes during tuning as follows:
1. Activate switchboard control.
2. Use the switchboard GOV up or GOV down controls to increase or decrease the power provided by the genset.
3. Deactivate switchboard control, and observe the response of the power to the regulator.
4. Alternatively, with switchboard control deactivated, increase or decrease the load, and observe the response of the power
to the regulator. Use the observation to tune the regulator.
6.4.5 Tuning for power load sharing
To tune the power load sharing, the genset and at least one other genset must be connected to the busbar. The
regulation of the other genset must be stable.
Tune the power load sharing regulation using the Tuning P regulation procedure for relay outputs, and Tuning PID
regulation for analogue outputs.
