b. When the breaker closes, press Open breaker to open the genset breaker. Does the breaker de-load? Does the
breaker open?
c. Activate switchboard control. Using the switchboard Manual GOV increase control, increase the frequency to 1 Hz
above the nominal value. Deactivate switchboard control. Press Close breaker
on the display unit to close the
genset breaker. Does the controller synchronise the genset to the busbar? Is the synchronisation fast enough?
• Did these tests succeed?
◦ Yes: The system's synchronisation and de-loading are working.
◦ No: Check the stability of the busbar frequency, the synchronisation settings, the de-loading settings, and the
synchronisation regulator tuning.
4. Load sharing
a. With another genset connected to the busbar, and load sharing activated in both GENSET controllers, increase the
load. Is the load sharing as required? Decrease the load. Is the load sharing as required?
• Did this test succeed?
◦ Yes: The load sharing is working.
◦ No: Check the droop for both gensets, and the load sharing regulator tuning.
