Removing the memory module
1 Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2 Remove the following components:
a Stand
b Back cover
3 To locate the memory module on the system board, pry open the DIMM door on the system board shield [1].
4 Pry the retention clips at each end of the memory module slot until the memory module pops up [2].
5 Lift the memory module from the memory module slot [3].
NOTE: Depending on the conguration ordered, your system may have up to two memory modules installed on the system
board.
Installing the memory module
1 Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the memory module slot, and slide it rmly into the slot at an angle [1].
2 Press the memory module down until it clicks into place [2].
