10.10 Replacing the AC surge protection devices

Electric shock
Potentially fatal voltages are present in the
inverter during operation. When the inverter
is disconnected from all power sources, this
voltage remains in the inverter for up to 60
seconds.
Perform the instructions listed in “10.4
Making preparations for maintenance work
- disconnecting the inverter from the grid
(AC) and solar modules (DC)”, page 106
before you start work on the inverter!
Type 2 AC surge protection devices are installed
as standard. Type 1+2 combined AC surge pro-
tection devices can be ordered as accessories.
Use an insulated magnetic screwdriver to prevent
the screws from falling.
Make sure that no screws fall into the inverter.
1. Unscrew and remove the cover of the type 2 AC surge
protection devices.
