5. Remove the power plug from
the mains socket again.
6. Open the basic settings switch.
– OpenCom 105: Release the ba-
sic settings switch.
– OpenCom 110/120: Open the
gravity hook.
The system data is now reset.
7. Replace the power plug in the
mains socket.
The OpenCom 100 now reboots
in the default configuration. The
procedure is complete when all
connected system terminals
show the time in their displays.
8. Log in to the Web console (see
Starting the Web Console on
page 32) and configure the
OpenCom 100 (by loading a
saved configuration if neces-
sary, see Saving and Loading the
Configuration on page 35).
Note: You can perform a simple re-
set of the communications system via
the SYS Configuration: New Start
menu. After the new start, the previ-
ously loaded configuration is active
again.
Setting up TAPI
With a TAPI (Telephony Application
Programming Interface) you can op-
erate a CTI application (Computer
Telephony Integration). Here, the CTI
application uses the services of the
OpenCom 100 with the help of the
TAPI driver installed on a Windows
PC.
Prerequisites
You require an active IP network
connection between the PC and the
communications system. Please re-
fer to the chapter Configuration with
Windows starting on page 26 if you
have not yet established an IP net-
work connection. CTI functions can
be used only in conjunction with sys-
tem telephones.
You must therefore have configured
at least one user for a system tele-
phone. In addition, you require a
TAPI 2.0 compatible CTI application,
for example the Phone Dialer in-
cluded in the Windows operating
system.
Note: For Windows95 you need an
updated version of the TAPI server
program. Run “tapi2195.exe” from
the setup CD.
