After restarting the OpenCom 100,
nothing is indicated on any of the
connected terminals’ displays.
It takes a short while for the OpenCom
100 to start up. After the restart, check
whether the activity LED is flashing with
a 10s / 1s cycle. This flash cycle indicates
that the OpenCom 100 has started up
correctly and is ready for operation. If
the OpenCom 100 has not restarted
properly, reset the OpenCom 100 to its
original factory setting (refer to the
chapter Resetting the System Data start-
ing on page 36).

The NTBA (Network Termination Ba-
sic Access) LED is not on.
Make sure the NTBA mains plug has
been connected; if it has, the connection
with the exchange may have failed.
It is not possible to make external
calls.
Check the connection between the NTBA
and the OpenCom 100.
In the Configurator, check whether the
the external S
0
ports have been config-
ured correctly (PBX Configuration: S
0
menu).
The OpenCom 100 has been con-
nected to an NTBA with a multi-ter-
minal configuration. Why is it not
possible to establish external con-
nections?
With the original factory setting, an ad-
ditional external S
0
port is set for an
NTBA in system configuration; this addi-
tional port will be used first to seize a
trunk line. Deactivate the second S
0
port
in the Configurator (PBX Configuration:
S
0
menu).
